SPace travel could be closer than we expected
Space tourism might be on the edge of its first breakthrough – Says the CEO of Space Perspective . The New-founded organisation that aims to make Visiting space accessible for everyone, or at least they say so, however the promised prices could still be over the average worker’s budget.
The organisation was founded by CEOs Taber MacCallum and Jane Poynter, who also co-founded Paragon Space Development Corp.
The spaceship planned to fly 16 miles above earth which still technically still doesn’t count as Outer-Space, however it will provide an amazing view of earth from way higher than any other commercial flight that is currently available. The Co founders in a mission to revolutionise space flights and kick start space tourism, something that was only possible for a few of us in the past now seems to be in the reach of an arm. Could you imagine that our future generation could easily just hop on a balloon and visit space, witness solar eclipses from way closer than we have ever done it before
The motive
Space Perspective is exploring an untapped market, Space tourism could be the way to go for our next generation. Engineers from the organisation envisions an opportunity that could be a one in a lifetime moment for most of us. A profound experience of outer space from the comfort of a seat, decorated with plants and a minibar for those who would like to pamper themself. The ZERO-EMISSION , carbon-free spaceship provides 8 comfortable seats in the ship, panorama windows and even WIFI so everyone can document and post immediately this “one of a kind “ encounter with planet Earth and its surroundings. The company claims this would be the first carbon free spaceship with the most safe, accessible and comfortable to visit the big Void.
The organisation says this could be
“ Space ship like no other”
Individuals after visiting space claims that their vision cleared after seeing how small we are in the ocean of Matter. The astonishing view of our continually expanding space grands you a better understanding over how much there is still to explore, and how little we really know, it really opens up your mind. Former astronauts argue that after you have experienced this feeling of looking down to earth from our there changes your perspective completely.
Let’t hear what those experts has to say about the mentioned .
“The view of Earth is absolutely spectacular, and the feeling of looking back and seeing your planet as a planet is just an amazing feeling. It’s a totally different perspective, and it makes you appreciate, actually, how fragile our existence is”.
~Sally Ride~
“There’s really just one thing I can control: my attitude during the journey, which is what keeps me feeling steady and stable, and what keeps me headed in the right direction”
~Chris Hadfield~
Concerning details
As amazing as it sound to explore space with no straps or any sort of space suit, also called EMU (Extravehicular Mobility Unit) it does raises concerns what happens if anything goes wrong with the cabin. The possibility of the appearance of any sort of faulty is still too great not calculate that into the scenario. The spaceship claims to have the biggest ever windows made for space-travel, but that also means that we have never flown out of the atmosphere with such a high risk, especially considering the fact that this vehicle operates just like a hot air balloon. Outer space is full of surprises, meteors could damage the vehicle or solar storms could possibly alter the original trajectory among other potential risks.Space Perspective claims to hold itself o the highest safety measurements and regulatory standards, the cabin was regulated under the FAA, FAR -part 460- Human space flight requirements. Said to follow all the guidelines set by NASA and the US coastguard. Safe as it sounds, we have witnessed numerous faults made by NASA that costed the crew members life, so we can only hope todays technology and engineering breakthrough’s will provide enough data to carry out the flights as promised.
Into the progress
The company’s current plan is to successfully land 10-15 uncrewed flights until the end of 2024, to then move on to. their test subjects and send a few spaceships filled with their crew. The commercial flight planned to begin around beginning of 2025, however this could also be delayed. We should also mention that the price is starting on 125.000USD , which is still relatively cheap compared to it’s competitors which we don’t really have so much around just yet. You can already start booking your journey with the space-balloon, but don’t expect to fly before the test phase has passed . The organisation is currently on a mission to furnish and complete the cabin, to then finally let it on it’s way to the outer-space. The Luxury space balloon have already completed it’s first test flights. and were able to capture breathtaking views. The Neptune-01 is currently unfurnished, however we are able to see some of their planned designs, this would give us great insight of how the interior will look like.
Postface
The mentioned idea might just open a new field for the humanity. We can only hope that this project will start up other companies to touch the field and provide us with alternatives. It would be amazing to witness space rockets from such as ELON MUSK MARS COLONISATION to be launched out to space or to be able to glaze upon earth and prove those Flat Earthers wrong. However the project is still on test phase. The company have started the engineering 2 years ago and there is still a long way to go.
We are very excited to be part of this new journey and to follow the corporation’s footsteps. I wish success for the project waiting to see the first participants to onboard, but we would not advise anyone to be a volunteered test subject.
